Job Description
The position of [Motion Designer] requires strong concept, design and animation skills. Primary role will be the design and execution of motion graphics for Method Design, Atlanta.
CANDIDATES WILL:
• Concept, design, and execute motion design for film, broadcast, advertising and new media
• Participate in developing creative for all Deluxe Entertainment brands based in Atlanta
• Collaborate with other Method Design Studios worldwide
• Work within a small design staff under [Senior Art Director] and Executive Management Team in Atlanta Studio
• Work well with others, showing open-mindedness in accepting and applying critique
• Work independently, within a team and take direction from Producers and Clients
• Strive to push creative aspirations while meeting aggressive deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to design mood boards, storyboards and animation concepts intended for motion.
• Must be able to translate storyboards/concepts into a cohesive and visually compelling end result.
• Hands on knowledge of 2D/3D animation, compositing, VFX techniques (roto, tracking, etc).
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, AE, C4D (other software a plus)
• Must be able to manage the technical system operation, have proficiency within the required software packages and apply proper project management to your productions.
• Ability to design to budget as well as estimating time to execute concepts.
• Must be flexible – some projects may be execution only.
• Must have solid design foundation; including fundamentals of design and design history.
• Must demonstrate a strong sense of typography and graphic design.
• Must be highly conceptual. Visually able to tell a story and/or solve a problem – effective communication skills.
• Must have a quick, organized and efficient workflow to avoid potential delays in production/finishing.
• Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously.
• Must have at least [1-3 years] of experience.
• Illustration and photography skills are a plus.
