Hi Tim,
Do you have a recommendation of the best places to look for an animator? I am developing a short 5-7 minute demo for a 3-D TV series and have just started my search for the perfect animator that can capture the characters and the ancient/fantasy vibe that I’m going for. New York did indeed once have an animation union, and it ensured that no one worked unpaid overtime, pulled all nighters without pay, or was without health insurance. Since 841 folded, the Graphic Artists’ Guild is a great place to get group health insurance, though it won’t help ensure that you are paid.
