More Seth Green Toons Coming to TV

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Green of ROBOT CHICKEN has created an new pitch and script for Fox.  The new animated show is the brain child of Green, Tom Root, and Matthew Senreich; and hopes to fit the Fox prime-time line up.

Green, Senreich and Root’s project, which uses family life and a high school as backdrops for a wide cast of characters, “will have an aesthetic familiar to viewers of Fox’s popular animated comedies,” said Green, an original cast member on Fox’s flagship animated comedy, “Family Guy.”

That is a departure from the trio’s previous efforts, Adult Swim’s “Robot Chicken” and “Titan Maximum,” both of which are done in stop-motion animation.

However, Root assured that that the new Fox show will have, “the comedic sensibilities of our other shows.”  It is the irreverent, manic, and downright crass humor that has launched ROBOT CHICKEN into mainstream popularity.  Fox TV audiences are an old hand at irreverent humor, let’s see if the ROBOT CHICKEN trio can cook up something that is appetizing to prime-time.
