Cartoon Network Gets More Toons

AWN reports that Cartoon Network has green-lit two new animated shows to be created for the channel.  The REGULAR SHOW is the story of a exceedingly tall blue-jay and a manic raccoon, who, by trying to keep themselves entertained regularly cross dimensions, open portals to other worlds, and generally run a surreal muck.  This show was the creation of J. G. Quintel for the Cartoon Network Cartoonstitute.  HORRORBOTS tells of Blastus and Thrasher, two teenage battle droids trying to survive high school on the brutal planet of killer robots, the Killglobe.  HORRORBOTS was created by Joe Deasy and Michael Buckley and will be produced in New York, instead of Cartoon Network’s Burbank studio.

Cartoon Network has also called for more episodes of THE MARVELOUS MISADVENTURES OF FLAPJACK, created by Thurop Van Orman; and ADVENTURE TIME created by Pendleton Ward which is do to premiere 2010.
