Variety reports that FINDING NEMO has just been replaced as the highest grossing animated feature overseas by ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS. ICE AGE was able to beat out the 6 year record with a tidy international sum of $551.4 million.
“Ice Age 3″ is the top-grossing film of the year so far at the foreign box office, although it could ultimately lose that race to Warner Bros.’ “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” which is on the brink of jumping $500 million internationally.
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE has already surpassed ICE AGE in worldwide totals, HARRY POTTER’s being $748.7 million, and ICE AGE’s being $733.4 million.
