AWN reports that qubo, the TV and web-based, family-friendly entertainment service, has put together its second round of user-made animated short films. This second wave comes from the huge success of quboPic animations by young animators. Using the online application called ZIMMER TWINS , young animators can create their own animated films. ZIMMER TWINS is a story-telling application that uses ready-made characters, animated clips, and themes to let kids customize their animation while reinforcing reading and writing skills.
“We were thrilled with the response to our first round of quboPic premieres and can’t think of a better way to honor and thank our viewers than by launching a second effort, “said Rick Rodriguez, president and general manager, qubo. “We are proud to showcase the creativity of these talented children on our air. The ZIMMER TWINS helps reinforce qubo’s mission of engaging children’s minds while promoting reading and literacy.”
qubo picked the best 14 films out of the bunch to be aired on qubo Channel, Telemundo and ION Television starting July 16th.
