According to The Hollywood Reporter, video game manufacturers are getting into the 3D act.  Following the success of the newest swing to 3D, Disney is turning their new movie G-FORCE into a 3D video game using the technology from the 1950’s, Anaglyph 3D glasses.  G-FORCE will be out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

“I think as all entertainment is going 3D, there’s a huge interest and desire on the part of equipment manufacturers to bring the 3D stereoscopic technology into the home,” said Hoyt Yeatman, Oscar-winning special effects expert and director of “G-Force.”

“I think games will lead that trend. The 3D really does add an appreciable level to the playing experience.”

New 3D technology gaming was presented to Hollywood in June at the a E3 closed demo using the new JAMES CAMERON’S AVATAR game.  Will this new enveloping game experience be the next hot thing, or will it go the way of Nintendo’s Power Glove?
