It seems everyone is going to Canada.  AWN reports that Ubisoft, one of the biggest video game companies in the business is opening up a new studio in Ontario, Canada.  Ontario looks like it has a lot to offer the film and game industries; tax incentives, a strong talent pool, and recent growth in digital media and technology.

“Our world is one where you can borrow capital, you can copy technology and you can buy natural resources. But to build a high wage and a high standard of living you need talent. By investing in Ubisoft we’re building Ontario’s economy now and for the future,” said Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario.

Ubisoft is no newbie to Canada, having one office in Quebec and another in Vancouver.  Ubisoft will put an even half-billion dollars in the new studio and plans to create 800 jobs in the next ten years.
