MyToons Closes Doors

AWN reports that the online animation site, MyToons.com, has shut down.  The online community was created in 2006 to allow animators of all levels to showcase their work and network.  When it first launched, My Toons had more than 1.5 million new viewers and seemed to be off to a good start.  Sadly, the economic woes of the country forced the company to shut its doors.

The company sent out emails to their store sellers informing them of the close, and their site (http://www.mytoons.com/) is effectively shut down as well, with the page leading to a cartoon bouncer with the words, “MyToons has closed. Thank you for all your support.” at the top.

We wish Paul Ford, Dan Kraus, Stacey Ford, and the entire MyToons community luck and happiness in all their future endeavors.
