AWN reports that Film Roman just promoted Jay Fukuto from head of production to head of studio.  Fukuto will now be in charge of all animation production including feature film, commercials, vfx, and home entertainment.  Now is a strategic time for the promotion since Film Roman is working at near capacity on shows such as ‘The Simpsons’, ‘King of the Hill’, ‘The Goode Family’, and ‘Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!’  CEO of Starz Media , parent company of Film Roman, Kent Rice gave glowing praises of Fukuto’s abilities in his new role:

“Since Jay joined Film Roman two years ago, his business acumen, creative vision and long-standing relationships within the industry have played an integral role in Film Roman’s success,” Rice noted. “Not only am I delighted to reward him for his many contributions with this promotion, I’m confident his leadership will help further build Film Roman’s leading position in both the traditional media and expanding multiplatform universe.”

Before film Roman Fukuto made a name for himself working on such projects as, ‘Kim Possible’, ‘BRATZ’, ‘Gargoyles’, ‘The Lionhearts, ‘Happy Days’, and ‘Family Ties’.
